Lossiemouth is about 5 miles north of Elgin, the nearest town with a railway station on the Aberdeen to Inverness line. From Elgin, local buses run regularly to Lossiemouth. By road, the town is reached via the A941 from Elgin and the B9040 from the west. Inverness Airport is approximately 35 miles to the west. Within Lossiemouth, most areas are within walking distance, including the beaches, harbour and golf club, and local bus services also connect different parts of the town.
