About Dundee

The city has a strong cultural scene anchored by the V&A Dundee, Scotland's design museum, and the RSS Discovery, Captain Scott's Antarctic research ship, both on the waterfront. The University of Dundee and Abertay University give the city a youthful energy, while areas like the West End and Broughty Ferry offer their own distinct characters. Dundee is also known as the birthplace of the computer game Grand Theft Auto and for the Beano and Dandy comics published by DC Thomson.

City Centre. The area around the waterfront and High Street puts you within walking distance of the V&A Dundee, Discovery Point and the main shopping streets. It is the most convenient base for first-time visitors.
